Sue Martalock
Pre-K3 and Art Teacher
What do you do?
I wear a number of hats at St Andrew & Westside. I am one of the preschool teachers for Westside but also have the joy of teaching art for grades K – 8th grade. I serve in the Worship Ministry for St Andrew as the Visual Arts coordinator. I help routinely with communion care and greeting and occasionally help with crafts for the summer camp.
How did you end up at Westside Christian School?
Being a long time member of St Andrew, God used Karen Hunter to ask me to take over what was then St Andrew Lutheran Preschool when she decided to step down from being the lead teacher. I was blessed to have her son, Phil in my first class. Then I served on one of the teams that helped start Westside and I have been here ever since.
What is your theme Bible verse?
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16
What is your favorite vacation destination?
I can relax and find great awe & beauty any place God paints a picture. I have been east, west and south and they were all magnificent in different ways. My dad instilled a great love for the history of an area in each of his daughters. Rachel & I seem to always be drawn to places that have a story to tell.

I received my BS in Education from UW LaCrosse, my early child certification from MATC, and synodical certification from MLC.
